23-year-old winger Wallace spent the second half of last season on loan at the Den, and in that time earned 21 appearances and scored three goals to help Neil Harris’ men secure promotion to the Championship via the play-offs.
While 24-year-old Saville, formerly of Chelsea, has enjoyed two loan spells at Millwall in the last few years, making his first move there back in 2013 and then again in 2015, making a combined 18 appearances for the Lions.
Yet both will now don the blue of Millwall on a permanent basis having signed three-year deals at the Den, two deals which have particularly pleased manager Harris.
He said of Wallace on the official website: ‘Jed is a great young man. He’s had two loan spells at The Den and thoroughly enjoyed his time here – he was adamant he wanted to come back, too.’
While he was just as delighted to get a deal done for Saville, telling the official website: ‘I’m really pleased. George is well-known to us as he has been here as a player before.’
This news is sure to intrigue and perhaps excite Millwall supporters ahead of their side’s return to the Championship next season.
The Lions secured promotion via the play-offs and will now look to retain their second tier status with a solid campaign next term, and with both Wallace and Saville having played at that level, they are sure to be invaluable additions to Harris’ squad at the Den.
Neither man really made a telling impact at Wolves, and with new boss Nuno Espirito Santo expected to put his own stamp on things at Molineux, their departures this summer were not a surprise.
