Done Deal: Wolves confirm two-and-a-half year deal for midfielder

Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Dave Edwards has signed a new two-and-a-half year contract with the club, the Midlands side have confirmed.

This means that the Welshman has now extended his stay at Paul Lambert’s men until the end of the 2018/19 season, after his previous contract was due to expire at the end of this campaign.

If Edwards does stay at Molineux until the end of his contract, then that would mean that he will have been at the Black Country club for 12 years, since signing from Luton Town in 2007/08.

The 30-year old has made 256 appearances for Wolves, scoring 35 times, and has also received 38 caps for the Wales national team; he has been a perfect asset for the club over the years.

So…What do you think Wolves fans? Are you happy to see Dave Edwards extend his stay at the club? Is there any other player like him at the club? Leave all of your thoughts and opinions in the comments below!
