Done Deal: Wigan Athletic seal deal for 22-year-old midfielder

Macclesfield Town midfielder Danny Whitehead has signed for Wigan Athletic on a two-and-a-half year deal, the club have confirmed.
The 22-year-old will spend the rest of the season at Macclesfield.
Whitehead, the former Stockport County youngster who moved to West Ham in 2013, has seen his career take a remarkable turn for the better this season, while plying his trade for the Vanarama National League side, scoring three goals in 18 appearances so far and impressing with his all round displays.
He joined Macclesfield only this summer after a brief spell with Accrington Stanley.
The former Premier League side and FA Cup winners from 2013 are currently in fifth place in Sky Bet League One, having accumulated 41 points from their 24 games so far.
The Latics recorded an impressive 3-2 win against Gillingham at the DW Stadium, after coming back from 2-0 down to win the game, and subsequently move them into fifth position in the division.
