Tottenham have confirmed on their official website that they have sold midfielder Grant Ward to Ipswich Town on a three year deal.
The versatile midfielder has joined for an undisclosed fee, becomes the third signing of the summer to arrive at Portman Road following the additions of Adam Webster and Paul Digby.
Ward can play on either flank and is also just as accomplished playing in the centre of midfield or even further forward playing off the frontman.
Ward made 40 appearances throughout his loan spell with the Millers last season scoring 2 goals, one of those was a spectacular strike from outside the area against Burnley which led to him picking up the goal of the year award at the Rotherham United end of season awards, where he also picked up the young player of the year award.
Ipswich have fought off competition from Rotherham who were keen to re-sign Grant on another loan spell.
Ward has undoubted potential and will be keen to improve under Mick McCarthy and become a key player for Ipswich next season.
Ward has great technical ability and is excellent when running with the ball at pace and has a trick or two in his locker to help him beat a man.
What do you think Ipswich fans, is he the calibre of player you need? Will he make a big impact next year? Let us know your thoughts!
