Done Deal: Sheffield Wednesday striker departs on loan

Sheffield Wednesday have allowed striker Sergiu Bus to join Italian side Salernitana on loan until the end of the season, according to Sky Sports.

The Romanian forward joined Wednesday from Bulgarian side CSKA Sofia 12 months ago, but has made just 10 appearances for the club, of which only two have been starts.

The 23-year-old has featured just three times for The Owls this season, and had not been given any game time by manager Carlos Carvalhal since October.

If his chances were not limited enough, following the signing of Gary Hooper from Norwich City in the January transfer window, Bus fell even further down the pecking order at Hillsborough.

As a result, he has now been permitted to move to Serie B in search of regular first-team football, where he will spend the remaining four months of the season.

Wednesday are currently one point off a play-off position, sitting in seventh in the Championship table.
