Sky Bet League One outfit Sheffield United have confirmed that highly-rated Che Adams has signed a new deal with the club.
The 19-year old has had an impressive start to the season under new Blades manager Nigel Adkins, and he has subsequently been linked with a number of clubs this summer, more recently Premier League side Sunderland.
Adams has started all four games of the league season and scored a brace in the game against Chesterfield, and he has quickly established himself as a key player for Adkins’ side as they look to get back into the Championship after a long absence.
Adams joined from Ilkeston in November 2014 but this summer has seen him given an extended run in the first team and he is now really beginning to show his potential.
The deal runs until the end of the 2017/18 season but has a option whereby the club can extend the deal for a further season.
The versatile forward has all the credentials to become a Premier League footballer, so it is no surprise to see the Blades sign up the youngster to a new deal – because he will undoubtedly be courted by top-flight clubs in the future.
Nigel Adkins’ side currently sit in fourth place in the Sky Bet League One table, having won three of their first four league games, and losing one.
