Mark Robins has confirmed that Andrew Boyce has joined Hartlepool United on loan, the Scunthorpe Telegraph has announced.

The 25-year old will join on for 28 days after falling down the pecking order at the Iron with Jack King, Jordan Clarke and David Mirfin all being selected before the former Lincoln man.

Robins also confirmed that he expects Boyce to return at the end of the spell and said the move would be beneficial for the player as he is expected to feature regularly for Ronnie Moore’s side.

Moore is currently rebuilding Pools’ side after disastrous spells under Colin Cooper and Paul Murray. They have seen a change in fortune as Moore kept them in League Two and now they have started the season positively and find themselves in the promotion places.

Ronnie Moore’s Hartlepool United currently sit in third place in Sky Bet League Two having won every single game so far this season, and it looks like they are a completely rejuvenated team compared to last season.

Hartlepool and Scunthorpe fans…what do you make of the news? Do Pools need another centre-back? Could Scunthorpe let Boyce go permanently? Let us know what you think in the comments below!
