Championship side Reading have completed the signing of Pacos de Ferreira winger Paolo Hurtado, the club have confirmed.
The 25-year-old joined the Portuguese side in 2012 and scored 12 goals for the club, before spending the year on loan at Penarol last year in his native South America.
After weeks of speculation, he’s finally put pen-to-paper on a three-year deal with the Royals, with Steve Clarke parting with an undisclosed fee to land his man.
The Peruvian winger can play across the front line, on the left, the right, up front or at number 10 and has scored twice for his international team.
Royals fans will be thrilled to see another wide man added to their squad, after injuries to Garath McCleary and Tariqe Fosu, whilst Hal Robson-Kanu is just returning to full fitness.
This is an exciting signing for the Royals as Hurtado looks like an explosive, exciting winger, who could feature in their first home game against Leeds United this weekend.
