Premier League outfit West Bromwich Albion have completed the £5.5 million signing of Queens Park Rangers winger Matt Phillips, the top-flight outfit has confirmed on their official website.
The 25-year-old has put pen-to-paper on a four-year contract at the Hawthorns and he will bolster the Baggies’ attacking threat for next season.
Phillips signed for the R’s in 2013 and made 80 appearances for the club showing loyalty when they were relegated from the Premier League.
His other period playing Premier League football came with Blackpool during the 2010/11 campaign, when he netted a single goal from 28 league appearances.
Phillips boasts blistering pace and has an intricate eye for a pass, with the deal seeing Baggies boss Tony Pulis finally landing a long-term transfer target.
The R’s could be in for a tough season during 2016/17 and boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink will hope that some of the fee can be used to target a suitable replacement for the club.
