Done Deal: QPR midfielder joins West Brom on loan

Queens Park Rangers have announced that midfielder Sandro will spend the rest of the season playing in the Premier League after joining West Bromwich Albion on loan.

The 26-year-old has made 11 appearances for the Hoops this season, and was linked with a number of top flight sides in recent weeks.

The Brazil international, who passed a medical with the Baggies on Friday, will have an option to make his move to The Hawthorns permanent in the summer.

The 26-year-old told West Brom’s website: “I spoke to the manager and was impressed. This is a big club and I feel happy to be here and very happy to be back in the Premier League. I believe I have a lot to offer.

“If was my first day today and I’m looking forward to being part of this family. As a player I play with my heart, I give all I can on the pitch, all the time I want to win the ball and play the ball. I hope the fans will see the best of me during my time.”

Sandro has played in England since signing for Tottenham Hotspur in 2010, before moving to QPR in 2014.

QPR have already lost top scorer Charlie Austin this month, having sold the striker to Southampton, while Matt Phillips has also been linked with a move away from Loftus Road.

West Brom sit 14th in the top flight, seven points clear of the bottom three and just four points adrift of the top half of the table.
