The Dutch winger links up with former boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, after scoring 11 goals in 44 appearances for the Brewers.

In a statement on QPR's official website, the 26-year-old expressed his delight at signing for the London Club and having the chance to work with compatriot Hasselbaink again.

He said: "I am very happy to sign for QPR and work again with Jimmy.

“He has been a big help for me on and off the pitch during my time here in England. I have developed as a player with him and I am looking forward to continuing to improve at QPR.
“I found my way at Burton and I am confident I will find my way with QPR. I am more than confident that I can do it and with hard work, I believe I will have a positive impact here.
“I am excited about playing for QPR and can't wait to show the supporters what I can do.”
El Khayati helped Burton to the League Two title in the second half of last season after joining the club.
He has also been instrumental in their rise to the top of the League One table where they currently sit after amassing a surprising 57 points in 28 games.
El Khayati will be hoping for his first taste of action in a Hoops shirt when his new team face Ipswich at Loftus Road on Saturday 6th February.
