Done Deal: Premier League striker completes Birmingham City loan switch

Birmingham City have completed the loan signing of Burnley striker Lukas Jutkiewicz on a deal that will see him stay at St Andrews until January, the club have announced.

Gary Rowett has been especially keen to add a frontman to his ranks this summer with Clayton Donaldson being the only recognised striker at the club, following James Vaughan’s departure to Bury earlier last week.

Danish striker Nicolai Brock Madsen has little experience at this level whilst emerging star Jack Storer was sent off on his Football League debut, highlighting the need to bring in another forward.

And Birmingham have got their man, bringing in Jutkiewicz who has plenty of experience at Championship level.

He missed a large part of Burnley’s 2015/2016 campaign after rupturing his cruciate ligament in August, which ruled the former Swindon Town man out for the majority of the season.

He’s made three appearances for the Clarets this season, starting once in Burnley’s EFL Cup defeat against Accrington Stanley and making two appearances from the bench in the league.

He’s yet to score this season but will hope to find his goalscoring touch at St Andrews in the coming months.

Blues fans, are you happy to finally see a striker join the club this summer? Just how good can Jutkiewicz be at St Andrews? Let us know below!
