League Two side Cheltenham Town have confirmed their fifth signing of the summer, completing a loan deal for Everton goalkeeper Russell Griffiths.
The 20-year-old stopper joins the Robins until January, and is set to be first choice between the sticks at the LCI Rail Stadium.
Griffiths has been at Everton since the age of 14, regularly appearing for their youth side, but has never made a first team appearance.
The Toffees’ youngster spent short spells out on loan with non-League sides Northwich Victoria and Halifax Town in 2015 but recently signed a one year contract extension at Goodison Park.
Cheltenham Town also completed a loan deal for Aston Villa defender Easah Suliman yesterday, both he and Griffiths are expected to feature against Leyton Orient at the weekend.
