Portsmouth manager Paul Cook has further enhanced his squad ahead of the 2015/16 season with the signing of striker Adam McGurk, the club has confirmed.
The player will put pen-to-paper on a two-year deal at Fratton Park and moves to the club from Pompey’s League Two rivals Burton Albion.
The 26-year-old turned down the Brewers’ offer of a new deal at the Pirelli Stadium after favouring a move to Fratton Park.
The former Aston Villa trainee made 83 appearances for Burton and scored 19 goals during his two year spell with the club.
New Portsmouth boss Cook is looking to build a side capable of challenging for promotion from League Two next season and McGurk will add League Two experience in abundance.
He said: “What attracted me to this club was the size of it and the large crowds who come to watch games.
“I have played against Pompey a few times and I have always been struck by how fantastic the fans are.”
