Port Vale have signed Anthony Grant from Crewe Alexandra, reports Sports Mole.
The League One side have also signed former Walsall defender Ben Purkiss on a two-year deal.
Grant has also signed a two-year deal after his contract at Crewe expired, with the midfielder scoring four goals in 81 appearances in two years at Gresty Road.
The 28-year-old began his career at Chelsea and made one outing for the Premier League club.
He went on to have spells at Oldham, Wycombe, Luton, Southend United and Stevenage.
Purkiss left the Saddlers after his contract ran out and Vale boss Rob Page moved quickly to sign the 31-year-old after Freddie Veseli failed to agree to a new deal.
The Sheffield-born defender began his career at hometown club Sheffield United but never made a first-team appearance for the Blades.
He went on to play for Gainsborough Trinity, York City, Oxford United, Darlington and Hereford United.
Purkiss made 73 appearances for Walsall in three years at the Bescot Stadium.
