Notts County have confirmed the loan signing of Leicester City midfielder, Jack Barmby, on their official website.
Barmby joins the Magpies on loan until November 13th, and upon signing for the Sky Bet League Two club, the Manchester United youth academy graduate said to the official site: “It’s important that I get some first-team experience at a competitive level of football.
“I watched the game against Crawley last night and thought we were unlucky to go behind but the players responded well and looked comfortable in the end after a good performance. Notts County was the only club in League Two I would have signed for.”
The son of former England international, Nick Barmby, signed for Leicester City in 2014 but has failed to make an appearance for the Foxes to date, his first team football has come in the form of loan spells, scoring five goals in seventeen appearances for Hartlepool United in 2014, and making two appearances for Rotherham United earlier this year.
16th placed Notts County host York City in Sky Bet League Two on Saturday, and the Magpies are hoping to record back-to-back league wins for the first time this season, in a match new recruit, Barmby, is more than likely to make his debut in.
