Notts County have signed Doncaster defender Gary MacKenize on a 28-day loan, the club’s official website has confirmed.
MacKenzie is an experienced player throughout England and Scotland, with stints at Rangers, Dundee, MK Dons, Blackpool and Bradford. He has also been named in the Scotland national squad on two occasions.
MacKenzie has been an important part of a Doncaster side that currently sit 16th place in League One with 36 points this term.
The club will be hoping to push on higher up the league table next season, and a loan spell out may precede a permanent departure in the summer, with Darren Ferguson needing to rebuild the squad.
At 30-years-old, Doncaster manager Darren Ferguson may not see him as a part of his plans.
Notts County currently sit 14th place with 36 points in League Two, and are themselves looking to improve their league standing.
