League Two club Notts County have further strengthened their squad with the addition of left-back Alan Sheehan, who rejoins the club on loan from Bradford City, according to the Nottingham Post.
The re-signing of a former Magpies player has to be seen as a coup for a club in League Two, with Sheehan a shining light in the league above last time he played for the East Midlands-based outfit.
The 29-year-old confirmed the speculation on his Twitter by tweeting a message which said: “Great to be back here. Can’t wait to be back out there at Meadow Lane.”
The defender made 114 appearances for the Magpies during his previous three-year spell and was a key part of the side that secured League One survival on the last day of the 2013-14 campaign.
Notts have endured a shaky start to life back in the basement division but Tuesday’s 4-1 drubbing of Crawley Town will offer much cause for optimism for the Magpies faithful.
Ricardo Moniz’s men take on York City at Meadow Lane tomorrow afternoon and Sheehan will be hoping to aid the club in earning a much needed three points.
