Done Deal: Nottingham Forest wrap up transfer

Published

on

Nottingham Forest have confirmed the arrival of 21-year-old goalkeeper Liam Bossin, following the expiry of his contract with Anderlecht.

The young keeper has only made three career club appearances in the Proximus League, the Belgian second tier, and his inexperience means he will start his stint at the City Ground in the Championship outfit’s Under 23 side.

While Bossin was born in Woluwe-Saint-Pierre, in Belgium, he has an Irish mother and consequently has turned out twice for the Republic of Ireland’s Under-21 side, and may view a move into English football as a way of boosting his international prospects in the future.

The 21-year-old has spent his entire career in Belgium.

He started off at White Star, before making the move into the reserve side of Belgian giants Anderlecht in July 2013.

His promotion to the senior ranks came two years later, but he failed to make a first-team appearance before his contract ended.
