Nottingham Forest have further strengthened their squad by signing Huddersfield Town winger Joe Lolley for an undisclosed fee, the Premier League side has confirmed on their official website.

Forest boss Aitor Karanka has been busy adding to his squad over the last 24 hours and the 25-year-old leaves the Terriers after four years at the West Yorkshire-based club to sign terms at the City Ground.

Lolley made the leap into the Football League from non-league Kidderminster Harriers back in 2014 and he made 80 appearances spanning across the Premier League and Championship.

The flying winger has a Premier League goal to his name this season and it came in a 4-1 defeat to West Ham United earlier this month. His contract was due to run until 2019 but boss David Wagner has now opted to move the player on.

Forest boss Karanka had been looking to add some width to his squad during the last couple of weeks and this move looks an attractive signing for the Reds.

The Verdict

Joe Lolley quite clearly has massive potential and everything about the 25-year-old sees him fit within the ethos of Nottingham Forest as a football club.

It remains to be seen whether Aitor Karanka will be making to changes to his system to accommodate Lolley but Forest can certainly look forward to lots of pace out on the flanks for the foreseeable.
