Norwich have today revealed that they have signed highly rated 19-year-old Sergi Canos from Liverpool for an undisclosed fee on a four-year deal, the club’s official website confirms.
Canos was originally strongly linked with a move to Ashton Gate to join Bristol City; however Norwich hijacked that move, and now Canos will be in a Canaries’ shirt come the 6th of August.
The talented youngster moved to Liverpool in 2013, however only made 1 senior appearance for the Reds – before being shipped out on loan to Brentford in September of last year – he made 38 appearances during this spell, scoring 7 times and assisting 5 more for The Bees during his time at the club.
Canos will add a new element of creativity to a Norwich side that was lacking an attacking spark last campaign; the lack of that said spark could be a factor as to why they were eventually relegated from the top flight.
Canos has already shown he can perform in the Sky Bet Championship – and this is a signing that will undoubtedly excite all of the Carrow Road faithful.
