Sky Bet League One side Northampton Town have completed the signing of winger Paul Anderson from Bradford City, confirmed on their official website.
The 28-year-old has joined the Cobblers on a one-year contract.
Anderson began his senior career with Premier League giants Liverpool in 2006, but spent much of his three years there out on loan.
He joined Swansea City on a loan deal for the 2007/08 campaign, who were in League One at the time, and won the Welsh side’s Young Player of the Year award.
After returning to Anfield in the summer of 2008, Paul Anderson had joined Nottingham Forest on a season-long loan before joining on a permanent basis 12 months later.
Since leaving the City Ground in 2012, the winger has spent time at Bristol City and Ipswich Town before signing for Bradford last summer on a two-year deal – making his debut for the Bantams in a 4-1 defeat to Swindon Town.
The arrival of Paul Anderson at Sixfields means it is Rob Page’s 14th summer signing.
Northampton fans…What are your thoughts on the signing of Paul Anderson? Is a winger the position you desperately needed to improve?
