Done Deal: MK Dons sign strike duo

Sky Bet Championship strugglers MK Dons have confirmed on their official website the double signing of strikers Jay Emmanuel-Thomas and Alex Revell.

Cardiff City striker Revell has signed a permanent deal, while QPR forward Emmanuel-Thomas has penned a loan deal until the end of the season.

Revell has been deemed surplus to requirements by manager Russell Slade, and it appears Revell is now going to make the move to a fellow Championship side and move away from Wales.

Revell signed for Cardiff after a successful spell at Rotherham United, where he helped guide the Yorkshire club to successive promotions to League One. He also played a part as the Millers survived in the Championship last season.

The tall, powerful striker has been at numerous clubs during his career, and this is yet another move for the 32-year-old.

Emmanuel-Thomas has fallen out of favour at Loftus Road this season.

The former Arsenal player, who has also spent time with Ipswich Town and Bristol City, will be hoping for a run of games as he looks to rediscover the form which saw QPR acquire his services in the first place.

Emmanual-Thomas has failed to live up to the initial hype surrounding him from when he first broke in to the Arsenal team as a teenager – a move to the Dons could well go some way to addressing that.
