Sky Bet League One side MK Dons have confirmed on their official website, the signing of pacey forward Kieran Agard for an undisclosed fee from Championship side Bristol City.
The deal means the Buckinghamshire-based club have broken their transfer record, according to MK Dons website, as Agards puts pen-to-paper on a three-year deal with Karl Robinson’s side.
The 26-year-old has found the back of the net 56 times during his career, making 131 starts.
In Agard’s last seasons in the third-tier, 2013/14 and 2014/15, he has gained promotion twice and scored 30 goals between them.
The Newham-born pacey winger, who can also play as a striker, gained promotion to the Championship in 2014 with Rotherham United and again the next year at Bristol City.
Kieran Agard started his career with Premier League outfit Everton, but as opportunities were limited he headed out on-loan to Peterborough and Scottish Premiership team Kilmarnock. In the summer of 2012 Agard signed a one-year deal with Yeovil after his release by Everton before completing a move to Yorkshire’s Rotherham the following year.
Bristol City have also sold defender Luke Ayling to Leeds United today.
Agard is set to wear the number 14 shirt for MK Dons and could make his debut this coming weekend against Millwall at Stadium MK.
