Done Deal: Middlesbrough midfielder joins League One outfit on loan

Middlesbrough have allowed highly-rated winger Harry Chapman to join Sky Bet League One side Barnsley on loan until the end of the season, the Championship club have confirmed on their official website.

The 18-year-old has been magnificent in the club’s under-21 side this season as they have performed in the U21 Premier League as well as the UEFA Youth League.

In 19 games for the under-21 side this season, Chapman has scored 5 goals and has also laid on 15 assists and caught the eye with a brilliant solo goal in the UEFA Youth League against Italian side Torino.

The Yorkshire side have been terrific in recent months and they now find themselves 10th in League One, six points behind Coventry City in 6th and still hope to make the play-offs this season.

Despite losing highly-rated manager Lee Johnson to Bristol City this month, there is still positivity around the club with new managers Paul Heckingbottom and Tommy Wright.

The winger is available for the clubs weekend game against Crewe and will be hoping to make his debut as he looks to impress Boro boss Aitor Karanka.
