Brentford have signed Sergi Canos on loan from Liverpool for half of the season, the Bees official website has confirmed.
The 18-year old, who left Barcelona to join the Anfield outfit back in 2013, has been one of the stand-out performers for Liverpool’s under-21 side over the last couple of seasons.
Canos, will be hoping to play a key role for Marinus Dijkhuizen’s Brentford as the attacking midfielder hopes to gain more first-team experience.
The Bees are currently 18th in the Championship table, having won just once in their opening four matches. After their excellent season last term that saw them reach the play-offs, but they lost to Middlesbrough in the semi-finals.
Canos, will become the ninth player that the Reds have sent on loan to a Football League club this summer, following in the likes of Sheyi Ojo at Wolves, Harry Wilson at Crewe and Lawrence Vigouroux who joined Swindon Town earlier this month.
