Done Deal: Leyton Orient sign Premier League defender

Leyton Orient have signed Jerome Binnom-Williams from Crystal Palace on a loan deal for the rest of the season, the club’s website has confirmed.

The left-back, who has spent the first half of this season on loan at Burton Albion, was recalled by Alan Pardew earlier in January because the defender hadn’t featured for the Brewers since November.

The Englishman hasn’t made a senior appearance for Palace, so signing a loan deal at Orient could be important in the young man’s career development.

The 20-year-old spent time on loan at Forest Green and Southend United last year, as the latter gained promotion to League One.

The England Under-18 and Under-19 international has made 15 League One appearances for Burton this season, helping them top the division.

The deal is subject to Football League approval.

Leyton Orient currently sit 9th place in League Two, just one point off the play-off zone.
