League One strugglers Chesterfield have boosted their squad by landing Sadiq El Fitouri on a free.
They announced the signing of the former Manchester United defender on their official website on Thursday 2nd February.
Sadiq El Fitouri joins Chesterfield after being released by Premier League giants Manchester United.
The 22-year-old has decided to move away from Manchester United to kick-start his career and has put pen to paper on a short term deal which will last until the end of the 2016/17 season.
The thrice capped Libya international primarily operates as a right back, but he is also able to play at centre half as well.
He joins Chesterfield, who currently sit 22nd in League One and face a battle for survival this season.
The Spireites are three points off safety but have a new manager in Gary Caldwell and haven’t lost in their last 2.
Caldwell will be hoping that former Salford City defender Sadiq El Fitouri can boost their survival hopes.
