Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has been appointed as the new head coach at QPR, the club have confirmed.
The Dutchman had positive talks with the club officials this week and QPR have agreed a compensation fee with Burton Albion.
Burton assistant manager, David Oldfield will join Hasselbaink at Loftus road.
After QPR’s 1-0 victory over Reading last night, Neil Warnock confirmed that this would be his last game with the club and believed that he could take QPR up another step, like he has done with Burton. Hasselbaink did not attend last night’s game.
Hasselbaink has had a successful career as Burton boss as he guided them to promotion from League Two and they currently sit top of League One.
The 43-year-old will be tasked to reignite QPR’s promotion push as they only sit two points off the play-offs.
Hasselbaink will begin his reign at Loftus road with a tough test against Burnley on Saturday 12th December.
