Ipswich Town have confirmed on their official Twitter account that striker Kieffer Moore has joined the club.

The Tweet says that Mick McCarthy has revealed the signing of the towering centre forward.

Kieffer Moore joins from Forest Green Rovers on an 18 month deal which will see him stay with the Tractor Boys until summer 2018.

Journalist Stuart Watson – of the East Anglian Daily Times – confirmed on his personal Twitter account that Moore is seen as Luke Varney’s replacement and that the fee is in the region of £10k for the striker who attended the game against Blackburn Rovers today.

The 24-year-old has spent time with Truro City, Dorchester, Yeovil Town and Viking before joining Forest Green in January 2016.

He had a loan spell with Torquay earlier this year where he netted 5 goals in 4 appearances, which has contributed to his 10 goals in 21 appearances this season.

Moore has previous experience of Championship football when he spent a season with Yeovil in the second tier.
