Gillingham have confirmed on their official website that they have completed the loan signing of West Ham defender Josh Pask.
The 18-year-old pens a season-long loan deal with Gillingham following their opening day victory against Southend.
Pask is naturally a centre back but has also operated at right back or in midfield at times for West Ham’s academy.
He has been at West Ham since the age of 8 and progressed through the ranks. Slaven Bilic has offered him the chance to gain some first team football next season rather than playing in West Ham’s Development squad again.
He played six matches on loan at Dagenham and Redbridge last season but will look to kick on in a higher league next year with Gillingham.
Pask becomes Gillingham’s ninth summer signing and the fourth loan arrival. This follows the temporary capture of Jay Emmanuel-Thomas earlier this week as Justin Edinburgh looks to bolster his squad.
Gillingham fans – what do you think? Will Pask be a good signing for you? What role do you expect him to play?
