Done Deal: Fulham confirm the exit of 22-year-old

Fulham have confirmed the departure of Lasse Vigen Christensen, with the midfielder joining Danish outfit, Brondby, for an undisclosed fee.

The move back to Denmark ends Christensen’s four-and-a-half year association with the Cottagers, which has seen him make 68 appearances across all competitions since his debut in 2014.

Christensen also scored seven goals during his time with Fulham, but did not establish himself as a regular in the first-team and hasn’t featured for the London club since September’s EFL Cup defeat to Bristol City.

The 22-year-old, along with Cauley Woodrow, was sent out on-loan during the Janaury transfer window, with the duo linking-up with Nigel Clough at Burton Albion.

Christensen made 16 appearances for the Brewers, impressing as he helped the club survive relegation and maintain their Championship status for at least another 12-months.

At the conclusion of the 2016/17 campaign, Christensen went on international duty, captaining Denmark at the under-21 European Championships.

Another player could soon be on his way out of Craven Cottage, with Reading stepping up their pursuit of David Button.

Recent reports confirm that the Royals have made a bid for the goalkeeper, as they look for Ali Al-Habsi’s replacement at the Madejski Stadium.

Fulham fans… What do you make of Christensen’s departure? Would you have liked to see more of him in the first-team or is this move the best for all parties? Let us know your thoughts!
