The duo become the first additions to the squad since new boss Paul Clement took over the managerial reigns and are the former Real Madrid coach’s first summer recruits.

Ex-Sunderland and Ipswich Town striker Bent arrives at the iPro Stadium on a free transfer following his release from Aston Villa.

Bent had a successful loan spell with the East Midlands club during the second half of last season and scored ten goals in 15 appearances.

The 31-year-old former England international spent some time out injured last season but will now add to the Rams’ attacking options.

Pearce joins on a free transfer from Championship rivals Reading and signs a three-year deal with the Rams.

The ex-Royals captain came through the youth academy at the Madejski Stadium and played for the club during their stint in the Premier League.

The 26-year-old is a Republic of Ireland international and adds Championship experience in abundance.

Rams fans… Are you happy with your recruits?
