Done Deal: Derby County goalkeeper joins AFC Wimbledon on loan

Derby County goalkeeper Kelle Roos has signed a loan deal with League Two side AFC Wimbledon, the Dons have confirmed

Roos is Derby’s fourth choice goalkeeper and Paul Clement has agreed for him to join Wimbledon on loan for the remainder of the season, to gain first team football.

The Dutch goalkeeper had been on loan at Rotherham United earlier this season, but his deal was cut short.

The 23-year-old has made five first team starts for Derby last season – all in cup competitions.

The goalkeeper is a former PSV Eindhoven trainee and is Wimbledon’s second signing of the transfer window.

Wimbledon are going fairly well in League Two this season as they sit in tenth place – just two points adrift of the play-offs.

The League Two side face Bristol Rovers at the weekend and Roos could be in line to make his debut for the club at the Memorial Stadium.

Wimbledon fans… Happy with the signing? Will he start ahead of Shea? Let us know in your thoughts and opinions below!
