Derby County have announced the official signing of Watford winger Ikechi Anya for an undisclosed fee.
The 5’6” left-footer pens a four-year-deal with the Rams and the wide man can operate on both flanks and as a wing-back too.
The 28-year-old has vast experience having played for Wycombe, Oxford, Halesowen and Northampton in England before plying his trade in Spain with Sevilla, Celta Vigo, Granada and Cadiz.
He moved back to England in 2012 when he joined Watford, initially on loan, but he signed a permanent deal after impressing in his first season with the Hornets. He has gone on to make over 100 appearances for Watford, including 28 Premier League games last season.
But after dropping down the pecking order at Watford, Anya has moved back to the Championship.
The Scotland international had reportedly been interesting Burnley and Newcastle but Derby have won the race for his signature and finalise the deal just before the transfer deadline.
