Done Deal: Dagenham bring in Championship defender on loan

League Two strugglers Dagenham & Redbridge have signed Reading defender Dominic Hyam on a loan deal until 5th March, the club have confirmed on their official website.
The centre-back is yet to play a senior game for the Royals but has featured numerous times for the club’s Under-21 side this season.
The 20-year-old has also represented Scotland at Under-21 level, winning four caps, and will add another option in defence for John Still’s side.
Hyam joined Reading’s academy in 2008 and signed his first professional deal with the club at the age of 17.
Meanwhile, Dagenham also confirmed that they will not be renewing the contract of midfielder Kane Ferdinand, meaning that the 23-year-old has been released by the club.
Ferdinand only joined the League Two side on a rolling one-month contract in August after leaving Peterborough United, and he scored once in 18 appearances in all competitions for the club.
Dagenham are currently second-bottom of the Football League, three points adrift of safety.
