Sky Bet League Two side Crawley Town have completed the signing of Portsmouth goalkeeper Paul Jones, the club’s official website has confirmed.
It will be a second spell for the keeper, who has signed an initial 28 day loan deal at the Broadfield Stadium.
Jones played for the Reds for two years between 2012 and 2014, making over 100 appearances before he made the move to Fratton Park in 2014. He went on to play 45 times for the South Coast side, before making the move back to Crawley today.
Jones will be going straight into the Crawley first team squad, most likely as the number one goalkeeper as they look to secure a mid table position.
They are ten points off the play-off positions, with a run at making the top seven seemingly unlikely unless they hit a rich vain of form.
The 29-year-old is closing in on 400 career appearances having had spells at Leyton Orient, Exeter City, and Peterborough United.
