Colchester United have completed the signing of Swindon’s Sean Murray on a two-year contract, their official website has confirmed.
The midfielder has made 13 league starts for Swindon Town this season as well as five substitute appearances. Murray has also made a handful in various cup competitions, scoring one goal along the way.
His time with Swindon was fairly short lived – he only arrived at the County Ground in August from Watford – where he had made over 80 first team appearances, bagging 14 goals in all competitions.
Murray also had a season long loan spell at Wigan Athletic last season, contributing one goal in eight matches as he helped the Latics win promotion back to the Championship.
He leaves Swindon hovering just above the drop zone in League One in 20th place. Meanwhile, Colchester are closing in on a play-off place in League Two, sitting in 9th position just two points from the top seven.
