Chesterfield have bolstered their squad with the signing of striker Lee Novak, the club’s official website has confirmed.
Novak joins the club on a season-long loan from Birmingham City and will go straight into the Spireites squad to face Sheffield United at Bramall Lane tomorrow afternoon.
The Newcastle-born striker has fallen down the pecking order at the Blues since Gary Rowett’s arrival in January and Chesterfield have swooped quickly to secure their man.
The 26-year-old scored ten goals in 56 appearances during his time at St Andrews but was largely used as an impact substitute.
It was during his time with Huddersfield Town that Novak really began to establish himself as a man who knows where the back of the net is.
Whilst at the John Smiths Stadium he netted 34 goals in 144 games and assisted the Terriers in gaining promotion in 2012.
If boss Dean Saunders can get Novak firing once again he could have pulled off a decent piece of business for the club.
