Sky Bet League One side Charlton Athletic have confirmed on their official website the signing of Fredrik Ulvestad on loan from Burnley.
The once-capped Norway international midfielder signs a season-long loan deal with the Addicks.
Ulvestad is a central midfielder who earned his move to England after impressing for Aalesund in the Tippeligaen. He played over 100 games for the Norwegian top-flight side, and signed a three-year deal with Burnley in March 2015.
His time in England hasn’t been as successful however, as he only made five Championship appearances last season in Burnley’s title winning campaign.
Addicks boss Russell Slade believes Ulvestad was unfortunate to not have been given more of a chance, and is excited to work with the loan man.
The manager told the club’s website: ‘Fredrik is a box-to-box type of midfielder.
‘He has loads of energy, can cover ground effectively and is very tidy on the ball as well.’
The 24-year-old is hoping that he can make his mark in England by impressing in a loan spell with Charlton.
He joins the South London club with a point to prove, and Slade will be hoping to get the best out of his 11th summer signing.
