The 27-year-old spent the first half of the season on loan at Scunthorpe United, making 14 appearances for the Iron, before playing three times for Wolves since his return to the Molineux.

He made his first appearance for Rovers this weekend, playing 44 minutes in the defeat to Peterborough United at the Keepmoat Stadium on Saturday.

After starting his career at Stockport County, he moved to Peterborough United in 2009, making 175 appearances for the Posh, scoring 25 times.

Doncaster are in need of reinforcements.

Darren Ferguson's men are without a win in 13 league matches, and their late defeat on Saturday meant that they dropped into the bottom four for the first time since October. This awful run of form has seen them drop from 12th to 21st in just nine weeks.

They are one point from safety with a game in hand over 20th place Blackpool, but Oldham Athletic, who are level on points with Rovers, have two in hand over the Seasiders.

What's more is that they have a huge match against bottom side Colchester United on Friday, so this signing has come at the perfect time to give Ferguson's side an extra bit of confidence ahead of what has turned into a must-win game.
