The former Everton striker, 21-year old of Bury has scored just one goal from his 32 appearances for in-form Bury, since joining the club permanently from Goodison Park in November 2014.

Hope had a successful short loan towards the end of the 2013/14 season before signing permanently later on in the year.

His permanent move however, wasn't as successful as his loan spell, in which he notched up five goals in his eight appearances, this included an impressive hat-trick against Portsmouth.

In his recent failed efforts to make an impact as a striker, former Barnsley manager David Flitcroft has recently tried to fit Hope into a wide position, but this hasn't worked out as planned admitted Flitcroft.

When former Burnley and Bolton experienced winger Chris Eagles signed for Bury recently, Hope's departure has been helped along by this.

“We have allowed Hallam to go for an initial 28 days loan to Carlisle United," said Flitcroft.

"This will allow him to get in a rhythm of games as he has been a victim of the fine form of Leon Clarke, Tom Pope and Danny Rose.

"We are currently trying to balance the squad and I believe this loan will be of benefit to all three parties.”
