Sky Bet Championship outfit Cardiff City have completed the signing of Welsh midfielder Emyr Huws on a three-year deal, confirmed on their official website.
The 22-year-old has been signed for an undisclosed fee from newly-promoted side Wigan Athletic.
Huws spent the 2015/16 campaign on-loan with Huddersfield Town, where he made 29 appearances and scored five goals.
The midfielder will offer Cardiff plenty of experience, despite his age, with seven international caps to his name for Wales – and has already scored at the Cardiff City stadium, with his native country against The Netherlands last November in an international friendly.
Emyr Huws started his career with Premier League side Manchester City in 2012 but was sent out on-loan to Northampton Town and Birmingham City during his two years at the Etihad.
After a successful loan spell with Wigan in 2014, the Llanelli-born midfielder signed a permanent deal with the DW Stadium team. Huws made just 11 appearances for the Latics during his time there.
He is Cardiff’s fifth signing following the arrivals of Lex Immers, Frédéric Gounongbe, Kenneth Zohore and fellow Welsh international Jazz Richards.
Cardiff fans, are you happy with the arrival of Emyr Huws? Who else should manager Paul Trollope bring in?
