Bury have signed versatile Manchester City centre-back Kean Bryan on a season-long loan deal, according to the club’s official website.
Bryan, who can also play as a midfielder, is yet to make a first-team appearance for City, but will join the League One outfit to get some first team experience.
Bury have beaten off competition from Dutch side NAC Breda, who are partners with Manchester City.
The versatile defender is highly regarded at the Etihad Stadium, and is one of the brightest future prospects to come out of the Premier League side’s youth ranks.
The 19-year-old is captain of the Premier League side’s development squad, helping them reach the FA Youth Cup final last season.
Bryan’s versatility will be valued asset to the Bury squad that has only won once this season in League One.
He could make his professional debut when the Shakers host Port Vale in League One on 3 September.
