Since joining the Blues, Duffy has found opportunities very hard to come by which have led to him going on his second loan spell since he arrived at St.Andrews. Last campaign the former Doncaster Rovers winger joined Chesterfield for a short spell.

The 29-year-old now joins Rowett’s former side, currently managed by ex-Dutch international and Chelsea legend Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink. The Brewers won promotion into League One last season following a terrific season which the current Blues boss started.

Duffy is now entering the final year of his two year contract and the loan signals the fact that the Blues management staff believe the winger might still have something to offer but in the second half of the Championship campaign.
