Norwich City winger Robbie Brady has completed the switch to Premier League side Burnley for a club-record fee of £13 million, reports the club’s official website.
The Republic of Ireland international joins the Clarets on a three-year deal after completing a medical with just a few hours left of the January transfer window.
It is thought that Sunderland and Crystal Palace were keen to make a late move for the Ireland star, but he always favoured a move to Turf Moor, where he will link up with his long-time friend Jeff Hendrick and his fellow Ireland international Stephen Ward.
Clarets boss Sean Dyche had been tracking Brady for some time after some impressive performances this season for Norwich and being one of Ireland’s stand-out players in last summer’s European Championships.
Brady moved to Norwich during the summer of 2015 and has made 62 appearances – scoring seven times for the Canaries.
