Bristol City have announced the signing of Eros Pisano, the club's official website reports.

Bristol City have swooped to sign Eros Pisano on a free transfer and he will officially join his new team on July 1st.

Eros Pisano was plying his trade for Hellas Verona in Serie B - Italy's second division.

Hellas Verona won promotion to the top flight of Italian football last season but he has instead opted to move to England, where he will join Bristol City in the Championship.

The 30-year-old has penned a two year deal with the Robins, who will be hoping to push on and climb the table next season after narrowly avoiding relegation in the 2016/17 campaign.

Bristol City have moved to fill a void at right back which was left by two departures this summer.

Adam Matthews returns to parent club Sunderland after a disappointing and injury plagued season.

Long serving defender Mark Little was released and has since joined Bolton Wanderers.

Lee Johnson has therefore moved quickly to secure the signing of Eros Pisano, who plays as a right back but can also play in the middle of defence.

The former Italy under-20 international has previously played for Varese, Palermo and Genoa before his stint with Hellas Verona.

After two years with Hellas Verona, Pisano has left on a free transfer and joined Bristol City for the upcoming campaign.
