Sky Bet League Two club Barnet have added to their defensive options by securing the signing of Josh Clarke from Championship club Brentford.
The Bees, managed by Martin Allen confirmed the news on their official website this afternoon and Clarke will be available for the club until January 2016.
The 21-year-old has played six times in the second tier for his parent club this season, but hasn’t featured in the team since Lee Carsley was handed the managerial reigns following the departure of Dutchman Marinus Dijkhuizen.
Clarke is a product of the youth academy at Griffin Park and before making the breakthrough into the first-team, he spent time on loan with Maidenhead United, Braintree Town, Dagenham and Redbridge and Stevenage.
The promising youngster will now continue his development in the fourth tier, but given his tender years it is important that the player is playing regular football.
He will go straight into Allen’s squad for the Saturday’s game against York City at the Hive.
