The 19-year-old has put pen-to-paper on a three-year contract at the Liberty Stadium and will now join up with the club’s Under-21 squad ahead of the new campaign.

McBurnie made 20 appearances for the Bantams and had a loan spell at Chester last season, where he scored five goals in 14 appearances.

The Scotland Under-19 international once joined Manchester United on “work experience” whilst in the Bradford youth set-up, and scored five goals to help United’s U18s win the Milk Cup youth tournament, whilst winning the golden boot in the process.

Standing at 6ft 2ins, McBurnie was tipped as the next James Hanson at Bradford, and scored more than 50 times in the last two seasons at youth level.

He has also made four outings for the Scotland U19 side, scoring once.
