Bolton Wanderers have confirmed the signing of Newcastle United’s Adam Armstrong on-loan until January.
The 20-year-old striker arrives at the Macron Stadium for his third loan spell away from St James’ Park, and will hope to earn more valuable first-team experience.
Armstrong has made 21 senior appearances for the Magpies since his debut in 2014 – although the majority of those have come as a substitute.

Despite his limited opportunities with the Magpies, Armstrong has enjoyed two successful loan spells away from St James’ Park with Coventry City and Barnsley.
During his time with Coventry in League One two years ago, Armstrong scored 20 goals from 40 appearances.
The year after the striker found himself making the step up to the Sky Bet Championship with Barnsley, after Newcastle again opted to send him out on-loan.
Armstrong is now set for another season in the Championship away from St James’ Park, this time with Bolton – who like Barnsley last season, are returning to the second-tier.
Phil Parkinson will now have one of English football’s best prospects on his hands heading into the Championship season.
Bolton begin the 2017/18 campaign at home to Leeds United on August 6th, before back-to-back away fixtures against Millwall and Birmingham City.
